Features

This ultrasound system is built for dedicated cardiovascular use. Its ergonomic design and easy-to-use features enable greater comfort and efficiency, for users and patients.

3 Plain strain & Bull’s Eye

The EKO 7 employs 2D speckle strain tracking technology to provide medical professionals with valuable, diverse information to make accurate clinical decisions. These include cardiac mechanics, segmental volume and segmental strain graphs, of which contribute to effective diagnosis. Differentiated features such as a configurable on-screen report sheet, with variable data components, further empower the user.

Stress Echo

Medical professionals are presented with a range of stress echo protocols that can be customised to suit different diagnostic needs and scenarios. The package comes with pre-designed exercise, pharmacologic and diastolic stress echo capabilities. Its integrated and easily programmable interface makes it user-friendly. These features combine to deliver streamlined workflow for wall motion scoring and reporting.

TMAD (Tissue Motion Annulus Displacement)

A key feature of the EKO 7 is Tissue Motion Annular Displacement (TMAD), which uses 2D speckle tracking technology. It is a convenient and simple way to perform mitral annular displacement from any angle, thus providing greater clarity in cases of limited accessibility and visibility. TMAD consistently delivers rapid, robust and accurate estimates of Ejection Fraction (EF) to provide overview of the area being diagnosed.

4 way motorized TEE

The EKO 7 includes a 4-way motorised Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) feature which generates a set of images within a cone from the same position in the esophagus. Its motorised tip deflection control is composed of two wheels which allow for greater mobility and more precise positioning of the transducer. The direction of the tip is easily steered up, down, to the right and left, creating a wide field of view. Designed for one-hand operation, this technology offers user convenience and flexibility.

Intuitive Control Panel Layout

This system’s ergonomic design and easy-to-use features will enhance any clinical environment. It is slim, manoeuvrable and lightweight, with a variable-height control panel, of which improve the EKO 7 in terms of comfort and efficiency. The intuitive layout consists of various sections which allow medical users to operate and benefit from the device’s different features and capabilities easily.

Dynamic MR Plus™

Powerful Samsung software has been integrated into a better engine to offer superior image quality. DMR Plus™ is a noise reduction filter that increases edge enhancement to produce sharper 2D images. The resulting refinement in image quality delivers increased accuracy and confidence in diagnostic practice.

Multi-Beam Processing

The EKO 7 incorporates Multi-Beam Imaging to produce optimal quality. This technique involves creating several lines of scans in one TX, ensuring greater coverage and accuracy. This technology is possible through digital beam forming, giving medical professionals more advanced capabilities when producing diagnostic scans.

Full Spectrum Imaging™ (FSI™)

Full Spectrum Imaging™ (FSI™) produces the penetration capabilities associated with lower frequencies, while still maintaining the fine pixel uniformity associated with higher frequencies. This combination consistently delivers superior quality images, even in the challenging diagnostic circumstances. The resulting clarity delivers improvements in accuracy and efficiency for greater confidence in diagnostic procedures.

Auto IMT™

Auto IMT™ represents a quick, automated method for measuring the Intima-Media Thickness (IMT) of the common carotid artery. This technology enables clinicians to identify more readily patients who are at high risk of arterial disease. Integration of this systematic procedure results in higher levels of diagnostic accuracy, improving patient safety and service.

ADVR™

ADVR™ is an integrated feature that enables the EKO 7 to record DVDs in real time, allowing simultaneous scanning and recording. The key benefit to your organisation is the ability for users to have control over the selection of recording areas. This results in sharp, accurate visual data that allows practitioners to deliver confident and timely diagnosis.
